Your adventure begins at the Pocono Whitewater Adventure Center, where you’ll check in and have the chance to grab a freshly brewed coffee or a hearty breakfast sandwich at the Broken Paddle Bar & Grill. Once you’re fueled up, meet your expert guides and get the full rundown on the adventure ahead.
Biking
Your adventure begins with a 23-mile ride along the D&L Trail on a premium TREK bike. Pedal through Lehigh Gorge State Park with the roaring Lehigh River beside you and towering 1,000-foot cliffs overhead.
Refuel & Explore
Take a well-earned break at Glen Onoko Park in Jim Thorpe and enjoy a delicious trail lunch by the river. Then lace up your hiking boots and trek to a breathtaking panoramic vista for an unforgettable view.
Conquer the Rapids
The grand finale — whitewater rafting on the Lehigh River! Grab your paddle and take on thrilling rapids as you glide past remnants of 18th-century dams and locks, with expert guides leading the way.
After an action-packed day, kick back at Pocono Whitewater with a hot dinner, an ice-cold beer or soda (first one’s on us!), and a roaring bonfire to end your Big Day Out on a high note.

Where do we check in for the trip?
Check-in takes place at Pocono Whitewater Rafting, 1519 State Route 903, Jim Thorpe.
How many people fit in each raft?
Most of our rafts accommodate 4 to 7 people.
What if my group has fewer than four people?
If you have fewer than four, you may be teamed up with other rafting guests to fill out the raft.
Is this a physically demanding trip?
Yes. This is a physically demanding trip, so participants should be prepared for a full day of activity.
Are there meal options for dietary restrictions?
Yes. Vegetarian and gluten-free meal options are available. Please call for details.
Can I add breakfast to my trip?
Yes. If you would like to have breakfast upon arrival, please call ahead to have it added to your reservation.
What if I forget something I need for the trip?
No problem. Our whitewater retail shop carries essentials you may have left behind.
What kind of footwear do I need?
Wear shoes that will not fall off, such as old sneakers or water shoes. Bare feet, flip-flops, slides, and slippers are not permitted.
Will photos be available from my rafting adventure?
Yes. We take photos on the river and you can purchase them in our store or online at PoconoWhitewaterPhotos.com.
